WE BELIEVE IN CREATING NEW GENERATIONS OF FINANCIALLY SMART INNOVATORS THAT WILL SAVE THE WORLD.
We aim to supplement education in the UK to provide training, support and coaching for 12-16 year olds to give them the skills, experience, and confidence to launch a 'livelihood' business. Just imagine a 16 year old independently making £16,000 per year - pretty awesome right?
THE 16X16 PROGRAMME
16x16 is an entrepreneurship (we actually prefer the word 'livelihood') programme for 12 - 16 year olds. We help them create a personal revenue stream of £16k per year by the time they reach 16. Giving them the financial freedom and resilience to choose their own livelihood.
As they learn and earn, not only do they make money, but are left with the legacy of experiences in innovation techniques, creative problem solving, curiosity, adaptability, dealing with failure, and the ability to hustle! These are the key skills our kids need to thrive in the 21st century.
We have been selling our children a lie, and worse, failing to prepare them for life.
There is a misconception that training for a specific career will make you successful and will give you security. Sometimes that's true, but it's becoming less common. They say now that people are having a 'career of careers', moving between industry and also skills.
Companies big and small are crying out for adaptable, creative problem solving 'doers'. People that know how to bring ideas to life and get their customers hooked.
The culture of work is changing dramatically. The options open to our kids are multiplying. There's a skills gap that keeps getting wider, and our education system simply isn't keeping up.
For the first time in history we could create a generation that are truly free. Without the focus on wage slavery. A generation free to solve the worlds problems. We want to help make this happen.
- Teach them the skills taken from the Startup and Corporate world, to create a personal revenue stream.
- Inspire them to aim for freedom over riches - don't aim for the unicorn, aim to enjoy the work required to get you to a realistic life goal.
- Create a community that respects and supports each other.
- Give them plenty of opportunity to fail safely.
