Future Talent Meets Sustainability: 200 Teenagers Reimagine the Future of Insurance with Allianz

In partnership with:

We asked 200 SuperSquad Sherpees this question:

How can diverse young people shape the future of insurance and sustainability—and see themselves in the industry?

Introducing the Sustainability SuperSquad:

But…what is a SuperSquad?

A practical, paid work experience programme where teens engage with real business and societal challenges.

200 teenagers from across the UK joined two SuperSquads with Allianz, focusing on Future Talent and Sustainability.

With roots in 47 countries, these Sherpees brought diverse perspectives to challenges faced by the insurance industry, from climate resilience to career pathways.

Over six weeks, they tackled briefs with creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, developing ideas that inspired real business reflection.

The initiative didn’t just upskill the squad members, it changed perceptions.

21st-century skills jumped across the board, with the biggest gains in critical thinking and communication. Parental and teen brand awareness soared.

Most importantly, Allianz built early connections with diverse talent while driving public value, innovation, and ESG alignment.

Teen-powered innovation meets real-world impact: Allianz unlocks future talent while driving social value.

This wasn’t just a work experience programme. It sparked action.

Our Sherpees’ connected with Allianz’s brand, ideas, and purpose in meaningful ways. Brand awareness among teens soared by 240%, and 46 students were left open to exploring careers in insurance. On the sustainability front, 85% said they would change their personal behaviour, linking individual responsibility with corporate leadership.

Overall, the programme delivered a £6.41 return in social value for every £1 invested—proof that investing in young people brings lasting impact for business and society.

From careers to carbon footprints, these teenagers created ideas worth backing, and a talent pipeline ready to activate.

The squad didn’t hold back. They reimagined the fashion industry and reshaped what sustainability could mean for business:

  • Convertible clothing brands – one item, endless looks, designed to last
  • Tax breaks for eco-retailers – because better choices shouldn’t cost more
  • Sustainability star ratings – quick-glance scores to help consumers shop with conscience

They connected policy, tech, and culture, proving that Gen Z can innovate with both purpose and practicality. From product innovation to policy disruption, these teenagers generated dozens of viable ideas—some already being explored further by Allianz teams.
