Startup Sherpas Policies

Our policies and procedures explain how we make sure that all the experiences we provide for our young people are done with safety and security at their heart.
In fact, we push ourselves to meet the same standards expected in UK schools.
We are completely transparent about the ways that we work, so we provide our full set of policies and procedures for anyone to read through. We would love it if you did!

All Policies:

Safeguarding Policy

Safeguarding all of our Sherpees is our number one priority. We’ve built our own tech that is safe for everyone to use, our business DBS Enhance checks every member of staff that communicates with the Squad, and along with that we’ve create a Safeguarding policy that ensures we always do the right thing.

Adult Safeguarding Policy >

E-Safety Policy

We do everything we can to protect all Sherpees who join us on one of our journeys. Their safety is so important to us we’ve had to build out our own technology to deliver the experience to make sure it is completely safe for young people to use. We always aim to adhere to the Children’s Code (UK) to make sure we are doing the right thing and lead by example.

E-Safety and Cyber-Bullying Policy >

Code Of Conduct

We do expect all of our Sherpees to act in the right way, and to see that behaviour from everyone else.

Code Of Conduct >

Environmental Policy

We do everything we can to minimise the impact we have on the planet. We even do slow travel, which can sometimes be verrrrrrry slow!

Parental Policy

Big shout out to the parents out there! All 3 founders of the business are parents too, so we know that this is an experience you should understand and know more about, since you can get loads out of it too.

CEOP

The Child Exploitation and Online Protection Command, or CEOP Command, is a command of the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA), and is tasked to work both nationally and internationally to bring online child sex offenders, including those involved in the production, distribution and viewing of child abuse material, to the UK courts.

We are authorised to promote their reporting service to make sure that all the young people we work with know that there is always a place to report anything to the police in a real simple and safe way.
